My Background in Nevada
I am a Licensed Psychologist with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field and have served Las Vegas, NV (and Nevada more broadly) since 2019. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFBRs), LGBTQ+ health, and gender-affirming care. Nevada has tons of natural beauty, and as an avid hiker, and I was happy when I matched at Student Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) for my pre-doctoral internship in 2019. At UNLV, I have enjoyed the experience of supervising master's students and doctoral-level interns. I also received training in a year-long Eating Disorder Treatment Team rotation, working with a multidisciplinary treatment to serve college students struggling with body image and eating behavior difficulties. In addition to seeing clients for individual therapy, I co-facilitated an LGBTQ+ support group and participated in UNLV’s multidisciplinary Gender Care Team, which serves gender-diverse students seeking mental health treatment and/or gender-affirming medical procedures. After this year-long internship, I completed a post-doctoral residency in Portland, OR, and then returned to UNLV CAPS where I worked as a staff psychologist from 2021 to 2023. Since starting at UNLV (again) in 2021, I had maintained an after-hours teletherapy private practice.
